Going green next time by

95 Marlin's transponder is not responding, he'll have to go to pit road - nope, he's OK now

Cars are rollin g: they'll go green after three pace laps

Engines have been fired after David Bradley sang the national anthem and Rev. Dan delivered the invocation.

Driver introductions are over, we are just minutes away from the firing of engines. But first, a little song.

Driver introductions are going on as we speak

4:57 p.m. - Peyton Sellers will start tonight's Strutmasters.com 150 Presented by Dollar General at Nashville's Music City Motorplex. Joining Sellers' Castle Chemical/EJP Chevrolet on the front row is Jeffrey Earnhardt, while the second row will be made up of Austin Dillon (overcoming transmission problems that kept him out of the first practice) and last week's winner, Trevor Bayne. Complete qualifying results are Here. We'll enjoy a 125-lap Late Model race in about 20 minutes, with the feature event getting pre-race stuff going at 7:00 p.m. Central time, and green flag at 7:30 (8:30 on the east coast). Come on back here for race coverage if you're not at your local track tonight.

4:09 p.m. - Hmmm. Maybe qualifying wasn't going to start till 4:15 local time. Cars are lined up on pit road so things should be picking up real soon now.

3:45 p.m. - The Late Models are done; CWS qualifying is on deck.

3:21 p.m. - Late Models are on the track for a scuff session maybe? Or they're going to time trial them all at once? Either way, something's happening. Qualifying order for the curious: 30 88 15 58 44 27 95 35 4 11 59 3 16 39 1 8 03 7 71 21 52 10 40 17 2 18 50 80. We understand that the speeds listed on the practice results are incorrect - the times are right, though - because we put the wrong distance into the spreadsheet. Well fix that for qualifying. The first Late Model is on the track for time trials, there are 19 or 20 of them by my count, so figure 15 minutes or so for them to do their thing and then we start our time trials shortly afterwards.

3:15 p.m. - We'll have it as it happens, but it isn't happening right now and won't for a little while as the Late Models haven't started their time trials yet.

2:38 p.m. - The second practice was run from start to finish without interruption, continuing the clean and green theme that we hopes continues well into the evening. Results are posted Here, and we see that Jeffrey Earnhardt was fastest followed fairly surprisingly by rookie Craig Goess Jr. Next up for us is a little quiet time, but things will pick up at 3 p.m. local time as the local Late Models make their qualifying laps, followed by the Camping World Series. We'll do qualifying more or less as it happens here, so tune in sometime around 4:15 p.m. Eastern time.

1:28 p.m. - First practice results have been posted Here. Super-sleuth Kate reports that Austin Dillon's troubles are in the clutch or transmission and those components are being changed. The second and last 45-minute practice is going to get the green flag any second now so we'll swap the notebook for the camera and go shoot some more good stuff to post during the week.

1:03 p.m. - The first practice session at Music City Motorplex has ended and it was a clean session, with the only stoppage being for debris early in the going. Austin Dillon was the only driver to not make it onto the track; we'll try to find out the cause. Chase Mattioli got a windshield full of his own hood shortly after first getting on the track but repairs have been made and he returned to turn lsps before the end of the session. We'll try to get lap times posted if they're made available; with just 30 minutes between sessions they may not run a sheet over before things get loud again.

11:35 a.m. - The entry list has been posted Here, 28 cars for 30 starting spots. The big news is that the Chew Crew is not here. Taking their place is a handful of part-timers: Rich Gould, Chase Mattioli, Daniel Pope II, A.J. Henriksen, and Todd Peck. Sterlin Marlin is also here so there's a little extra star power in the pits. Practice starts in 25 minutes so we're going to head out and shoot some pictures, and we'll be back to post practice times after the session's over.

10:19 a.m. - We've safely arrived at the littler track in Nashville and have squeezed into the Anton Racing hauler to bring you news and notes from the seventh Camping World East Series race of the season. One quick reminder: we're in the Central Time zone so we're an hour behind most fans checking in, which means you have to adjust the scheduled times for everything accordingly. Practice starts at high noon here, which is 1 p.m. Eastern time, and so on down the line. We'll now get the entry list together and start bringing everyone up to dfate on the goings on here, even though we're down digits (I broke a finger in the accident Thursday, and have a couple of my left fingers splinted together). But we've got a job to do, and we won't let this slow me down.
