Troy Williams has announced that Jesus Hernandez will drive the Telmex Chivas Racing Car for the opening race in Greenville SC. Antonio Perez requested to be allowed to defend his title of champion in Nascar Mexico and thanked Troy Williams and Sean Watts for allowing him to run after the given conflict of agendas between the Nascar Camping World East and Nascar Mexico Series . Escuderia Telmex and Chivas of Guadalajara fully supports Telmex / Chivas Racing with Antonio Perez as their driver for all Camping World East Series in 2009. Also, Escuderia Telmex is excited to run multiple races in the Nationwide Series with Troy Williams racing and Sean Watts , this will serve as additional seat time to prepare to run the full Nationwide season in 2010. Escuderia Telmex also wishes the Telmex / Chivas Racing a very successful Race on Saturday in Greenville SC and extends its gratitude to Jesus Hernandez for substituting Antonio as a pilot for this very important race.

Hernandez has run the last two seasons in the NASCAR Camping World Series East for Dale Eanhardt Inc. He finished third in points in 2008.
